Just the Beginning

Hello All!

So here I am, the beginning of 2011, and how to I decide to start it? Clean out and organize the pantry of course! I have to take inventory and see what's what, especially since it is the first hour of the new year. I have been a vegan for quite some time now, and even though I get a little bit of hell from my peers, it has been one of the great joys of my life so far. This yeaer, I have decided to go completely 100% raw for the month of January. If I like it, I'll continue and see where life's journey takes me. I thought, what better time to start than the new year, which is why a pantry clean out was in order. I haven't really made a resolution, mainly because I've moticed that they have become increasingly overrated. I like to begin each day with a new and improved mindset, and I know that is what I will comtinue.

Here's a little glimple at the process of my inventory:

A little bit of a mess in progress, but I know it is what I need right now. To say the least, it is somewhat soothing actually.

After about 2 hours, I finally organized it into different catagories: raw snacks/sea veggies, nonraw vegan goods, nuts/seeds/dried fruits, and beans/ grains. I only had to throw out a few things, but I wrote down everything I have and I feel really impowered, even though it is 2:30 in the morning. My next task is to get some sleep and prepare for my yoga class (yay!). One goal I have is to do yoga at least 3 times a week in 2011.

I am really proud of myself, and I am excited for the new year that awaits us.

What were you most proud of yourself for in 2010? What are your new affirmations for 2011.

Much gratitude, and a wonderful new year to all!
Xo
